At Yen Binh Industrial Park, Pho Yen City, Thai Nguyen Province – steel components manufactured by Hai Long are appearing daily at the Samsung Electronics Vietnam project site, contributing to the construction of Samsung's first semiconductor chip testing factory in Vietnam.
With a total investment of approximately 1.5 billion USD, the factory focuses on testing traditional DRAM and NAND memory chips to address the ongoing supply shortage as most global memory chip production capacity is being diverted by “giants” to AI chips.
Expected to be operational by the end of 2027, this is seen as a pioneering move as the group plans to reinvest profits to build a second factory with a scale of up to 2.5 billion USD — making Vietnam one of the key semiconductor testing hubs in Samsung's global supply chain.
Currently, the steel components have been transported, and the construction is entering the peak installation phase. Each shipment arrives on schedule, maintaining stable material supply and ensuring continuous and safe construction work.
- Amkor Technology Project (Yen Phong II-C Industrial Park, Bac Ninh) – the largest semiconductor factory of Amkor Group, with a total investment of 1.6 billion USD. Here, Hai Long Steel Structure undertook the production of 4,000 tons of PSRC (Prefabricated Steel Reinforced Concrete column) and TSC (U-section steel-concrete composite beam) steel structures.
- LG Innotek Project (Trang Due Industrial Park, Hai Phong) – a camera module manufacturing plant with a cumulative total investment of over 2 billion USD. Hai Long Steel Structure successfully produced and supplied 14,500 tons of steel structures within 4 months.
- LG Display Project – H3 Factory (Trang Due Industrial Park, Hai Phong) – an expansion project within the LG Display complex, the largest FDI project in Hai Phong, specializing in the production of high-tech OLED display products. Hai Long Steel Structure undertook the production and erection of 9,300 tons of steel structures for the factory building component of the project.
