On May 4, 2024, Hai Long Construction JSC officially opened its South Korea Representative Office at the GIDC building – an iconic building in Gwangmyeong city. The opening ceremony marked a significant step in the company's strategy to develop and expand its international business operations.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Pham Anh Tien – Chairman of Taiyo Group, Mr. Pham Tien Dung – General Director of Hai Long Construction, Mr. Trinh Quang Vien – Deputy General Director, Mr. Pham Minh Hoang – Project Manager & Head of the South Korea Representative Office, along with the management team, and Korean and Vietnamese engineers who will work at the representative office for the company's upcoming projects.

Throughout its 25-year journey of construction and development, Hai Long Construction has had the opportunity to execute many major projects with 'eagle' investors from South Korea such as: LG Innotek Project (Manufacturing 14,500 tons of steel structure), LG Display Project (Manufacturing 9,300 tons of steel structure), Amkor Technology Project (Manufacturing 4,500 tons of steel structure), Glonics Thai Nguyen Project (Design & Build General Contractor),… These successes are a testament to the immense potential and the suitability of the South Korean market for Hai Long's manufacturing and construction capabilities.
Recognizing that potential, the Board of Directors of Hai Long Construction decided to establish a representative office in South Korea with the following goals:
- Successfully exporting steel structure products manufactured in Vietnam to the international market, especially to demanding markets like South Korea and developed countries, gradually bringing the Hai Long brand and 'Made in Vietnam' steel structure products to the 'global stage'
- Developing deeper relationships with South Korean investors, aiming to maximize the output of Hai Long's 3-factory system with a production capacity of up to 40,000 tons of steel structure/year; creating jobs for hundreds of employees and generating surplus value for society.
Mr. Pham Minh Hoang (born 1997), a graduate of the University of Melbourne – Australia, currently working at Hai Long Construction as Project Manager and Assistant to the Chairman of the Board, is the person trusted by the Board of Directors with the responsibility of Head of the Hai Long Representative Office in South Korea. At the opening ceremony, Mr. Hoang also decided to appoint Mr. Kim In Seop (born 1970) as Executive Director, responsible for the daily operations of the Office. Mr. Kim has over 20 years of experience working in the steel structure sector for major corporations in South Korea.

Also at the opening ceremony, the Hai Long South Korea team held their first meeting with the company's Board of Directors. The Hai Long South Korea team demonstrated high determination and presented a clear roadmap to achieve the production and business goals set by the Company.

Hai Long South Korea is the first step for Hai Long to conquer the rigorous steel structure product standards of the land of morning calm. Under the leadership of the Company's Board of Directors, along with Mr. Pham Minh Hoang and Mr. Kim In Seop, we believe that the South Korea Office will be an effective bridge to bring the Hai Long brand and the Vietnamese construction brand further in the international market.
