The Battery Energy Storage Container Production Project was implemented by Hai Long Construction JSC in October 2020. At the end of last June, Hai Long successfully shipped the final container to Hokkaido, Japan, thereby completing the Battery Energy Storage Container Production Project for Sumitomo Electric Industry Group.
This is a project that requires high technical skills and urgent production time, so it is difficult for a single enterprise to implement. Before participating in the project, Hai Long Construction JSC collaborated with several Vietnamese mechanical factories and had to go through fierce competition with Chinese enterprises that are experienced in container production with highly skilled workers, large factories, and readily available sources of cheap, high-quality accessories. Finally, Hai Long Construction JSC, SSG, and the LGMEC Group mechanical factory were honored to be selected as production units for Sumitomo's Battery Energy Storage Container Production Project.
When first participating in the project, all three companies had no experience in container production, no readily available sources of necessary components, accessories, machinery, and specialized equipment. However, through the time of cooperation, the three companies gradually affirmed their capacity by researching and manufacturing JIG fixtures, methods to ensure product quality, and working closely with customers to transfer technology and control quality and costs. After nearly a year of production and continuous improvement, all 72 battery energy storage containers were completed by Hai Long/ SSG/ LGMEC Group on schedule as committed to the customer Sumitomo and are being installed in Hokkaido within the framework of the largest solar power plant construction project there.
The photo below is a thank-you letter from a representative of Sumitomo Electric Industry sent to the representative of Hai Long Construction JSC for contributing to this project. The letter was supposed to be presented directly to the representative of Hai Long during a project visit, but due to the Covid situation, it could only be sent online. At the same time, the parties also organized a summary meeting online. The customer Sumitomo expressed their trust and desire to continue cooperating with Hai Long in this field and shared a plan to implement the next 45 battery energy storage containers, expected to be produced in early 2022. It can be said that this is a milestone marking the strong cooperation between the parties, and also marking a transformation for Hai Long Construction JSC when participating in the high-tech container production chain for the first time.
This will be a stepping stone for long-term cooperation between Hai Long and reputable customers and partners in the future. Customer trust will be the motivation for Hai Long Construction JSC to strive to develop even further to bring the highest quality services, products, and satisfaction to customers.
