According to the Bac Ninh City Department of Finance, the total newly registered and adjusted FDI capital in the locality in the first 9 months of 2026 reached 4,012.4 million USD. This level ranks 3rd nationwide.

FDI attraction results

From January 1 to September 30, 2026, Bac Ninh City issued new Investment Registration Certificates for 266 FDI projects, with a total registered capital of 1,708.5 million USD. During the same period, there were 221 instances of capital adjustments, with an additional capital of 2,303.9 million USD.

Thus, additional capital from existing projects accounted for more than half of the locality's total FDI capital during the period.

Industrial parks account for the majority of registered capital

Categorized by location, industrial parks recorded:

• 116 newly registered projects, with a registered capital of 1,511.9 million USD
• 189 capital adjustment instances, with an additional capital of 2,265.7 million USD

Outside of industrial parks, there were:

• 150 newly registered projects, with a registered capital of 196.6 million USD
• 32 capital adjustment instances, with an additional capital of 38.2 million USD

Thus, the number of newly registered projects outside industrial parks is higher than inside. However, the majority of new registered capital and additional capital is concentrated within industrial parks.

Domestic investment

Also during the 9 months, Bac Ninh City issued new Investment Registration Certificates for 171 domestic investment (DDI) projects, with a total registered capital of 350,804 billion VND. There were 95 instances of DDI project capital adjustments, with an additional capital of 25,565.7 billion VND.

Accumulated

As of September 30, 2026, the entire city has 3,720 FDI projects, with a total registered investment capital of approximately 52.39 billion USD.

According to the General Statistics Office (Ministry of Finance), the total FDI capital registered in Vietnam in the first 9 months of 2026 reached 50.36 billion USD, an increase of 76.4% over the same period.
