In the first 5 months of 2025, Bac Giang continued to affirm its position as one of the most dynamic industrial hubs in the North by approving the 1/2000 scale construction zoning plan for 5 new industrial parks (IPs), with a total area of nearly 833ha. This move demonstrates the province's strong determination to accelerate industrial infrastructure development, aiming for the 2030 goal and 2050 vision to make Bac Giang the "super industrial capital" of the region.
A series of large-scale new industrial parks
Most recently, on May 29, the Bac Giang Provincial People's Council approved the construction zoning plan for Thai Dao – Tan An IP with an area of nearly 166.9ha, located in Thai Dao commune (Lang Giang district) and Tan An ward (Bac Giang city). It is expected that this IP will create jobs for approximately 15,800 workers.
Previously, on May 21, Ngoc Thien IP in Tan Yen district also had its plan approved with a scale of nearly 161.9ha, of which nearly 149.6ha is dedicated to industrial development, and 5.5ha for small businesses, supporting industries, and innovation. The expected number of workers here is about 14,500 people.
Notably, Yen Son IP in Luc Nam district has been approved with an area of over 154.4ha. Of this, industrial production and warehouse land account for over 75.4ha (48.8%), and service and commercial facility land for over 15ha (10%). This IP is expected to attract approximately 20,000 – 22,000 workers.
In addition, IPs such as Song Mai – Nghia Trung (197.1ha, investment capital of over 2,806 billion VND), My Thai (nearly 160ha, investment capital of over 1,798 billion VND), and Xuan Cam – Huong Lam phase 1 (102.85ha, investment capital of over 1,467 billion VND) have continuously received investment policy approvals, contributing to expanding industrial land reserves and creating a strong attraction for domestic and foreign investors.

Economic growth drivers and FDI attraction
The strong development of IPs has made Bac Giang a bright spot for attracting foreign direct investment (FDI). In 2024, the total registered FDI capital into the province reached 2.23 billion USD, helping Bac Giang lead the country in economic growth rate with a GRDP growth of 13.85%2. In the first quarter of 2025, the province continued to maintain its leading position in GRDP growth at 14.02%.
Currently, Bac Giang has 16 IPs and 55 industrial clusters in operation, forming a closed production – logistics chain, especially in districts and towns bordering Bac Ninh such as Viet Yen, Hiep Hoa, and Lang Giang. According to the plan until 2030, the province aims to complete 29 IPs with a total area of about 7,000ha, including 12 urban – service IPs; and plan 63 industrial clusters with a total area of about 3,006ha.
New opportunities for infrastructure construction investors
With the strong wave of IP development, the demand for construction, installation of technical infrastructure, factory buildings, and support services in Bac Giang is growing exponentially. This is a golden opportunity for construction companies like Hai Long Construction JSC to expand market share, affirm their capacity as a general contractor, and accompany investors in large-scale projects.
The fact that Bac Giang continuously welcomes new IP projects not only contributes to changing the local socio-economic landscape but also opens up many opportunities for cooperation and sustainable development for businesses in the fields of construction, industrial real estate, and related services.
Conclusion
With a methodical development strategy, synchronized planning, and the decisive involvement of the government, Bac Giang is gradually becoming the new "super industrial capital" of the North, an attractive destination for domestic and foreign investors. This is a solid foundation for construction and infrastructure development companies like Hai Long Construction to continue breaking through, contributing to the overall development of Vietnam's industrial sector
