On the morning of November 12, the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the construction of Viet Phap Steel Sheet Manufacturing Factory No. 2 took place at Lot CN3-01, Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park, Hai Phong, marking a major step forward in the Vietnamese steel sheet manufacturing industry.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Le Trung Kien, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board; along with distinguished guests including generals and officers of the Vietnam People's Army; representatives of the leadership of Viet Phap Steel Sheet JSC; the Board of Directors and site managers of Hai Long Construction JSC, and project partners.
With a total investment of nearly 45 million USD and an area of 75,000 m², the new factory has a production capacity of up to 350,000 tons of steel sheet products per year, serving both domestic and international markets.
This partnership continues to strengthen the close and reliable relationship between Hai Long Construction and the Investor – Viet Phap Steel Sheet JSC. Previously, in 2019, Hai Long Construction successfully undertook the role of general contractor for the Viet Phap Steel Sheet Factory No. 1, and in this important project, the company continues to be selected with high trust from the investor.
In phase 1 of the project, Hai Long Construction will carry out construction on an area of 20,400 m². The factory will apply modern production technology from international partners, ensuring high-quality standards and environmental friendliness. The construction process is expected to last for 200 days, with support from the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board to help resolve difficulties so the project can soon go into operation.
Viet Phap Steel Sheet Factory No. 2 is located in a strategic position in Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park, near major seaports and national traffic routes. This location not only shortens transportation time but also helps optimize logistics costs, increasing the competitiveness of products in the international market.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Anh Tien – Chairman of Taiyo Group – emphasized: “Although the project construction will face many challenges such as rainy season weather conditions, soft ground, and a timeline extending through the Lunar New Year, with 25 years of experience, Hai Long Construction is completely confident in completing the project on schedule and with the quality committed to the Investor.”
The Viet Phap Steel Sheet Factory No. 2 project not only marks a new development step in the cooperation between Viet Phap Steel Sheet JSC and Hai Long Construction but also opens up potential for positive contributions to the local and national economy. With careful preparation, modern technology, and close accompaniment from partners and the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, the project promises to be completed soon, creating a new impetus for the Vietnamese steel industry.
